The Rematec Amsterdam Opening Ceremony set the stage for an exciting and inspirational start, as the winners of the Remanufacturer of The Year (RotY) Awards 2025 were officially announced. With a full house at the Rematec Theatre, three leading figures and companies were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the remanufacturing industry across three key categories: Best Reman Ambassador, Best Reman Company, and —for the very first time—Best Reman Public Choice.

This year marks a new chapter in the awards' history, with the introduction of the Public Choice Award, giving the wider remanufacturing community a direct voice in recognizing industry excellence. The enthusiastic participation underscored the growing public engagement with remanufacturing as a key pillar of the circular economy. Chosen by a panel of respected experts in the remanufacturing field, these winners exemplify the innovation, collaboration, and commitment needed to lead the industry forward in a changing world.

2025 WINNERS

  • Best Reman Ambassador

Winner: Mike Hague-Morgan
Mike Hague-Morgan is a trailblazer in remanufacturing, championing innovation as an independent remanufacturer. He has made significant strides with high-voltage electric vehicle reman projects and remains a visible and respected voice at conferences, shows, and in academic circles. his collaborative mindset and tireless promotion of reman make him a true ambassador for the sector.

  • Best Reman Company

Winner: BORG
BORG Automotive Reman continues to set the gold standard as the leading independent remanufacturer with the largest and most diverse product portfolio in the industry. The company actively supports employee participation in industry initiatives, collaborates with academic partners, and engages with multiple associations across various levels. Its reman challenge program is a prime example of fostering innovation through collaboration.

  • Best Reman Public Choice

Winner: Valeo
With a total of 2,057 votes, Valeo emerged as the clear winner of the Public Choice Award. The jury fully supports the public’s choice, recognizing Valeo as a major automotive parts manufacturer and a key player in the independent aftermarket that has placed sustainability and remanufacturing at the heart of its strategic direction. Valeo’s strong commitment to circular practices continues to set a powerful example for the industry.
