University to host first ERN meeting
The results of a new European-wide survey of the remanufacturing industry will be revealed on January 21 at Bayreuth University in Germany, when the recently formed European Remanufacturing Network organises its first major event.
„We have had a good response and look forward to presenting the conclusions,“ said Steffen Butzer, Head of Department, Process Optimization and Lean Production, at Bayreuth University.
The January 21 event will begin with an introduction of the ERN, followed by the the results of the remanufacturing market study which will comprise the first mapping of Europe’s remanufacturing landscape in Europe.
Moderated round-table discussions will focus on information sharing and cross-sector remanufacturing businesses. The event will also comprise presenta¬tions from industry and research figures about challenges as well as best practices in business models and design and remanufacturing processes.
